19 Princelet Street is a hidden gem in the heart of London sadly because of the delicate nature of the building it is only open to the public around 10 days.
The Spitalfields charity that runs the house needs £3 million to preserve it and you can see by looking at the image it still has it’s Victorian heritage intact and is almost magical.
The building itself was built in 1719. It was a refuge for people coming to the UK including Huguenot silk merchants and Polish Jews. The unrestored building also conceals a rare surviving synagogue built over its garden.
